I placed the table top upside down on the carpet (it won't get damaged on carpet) and placed the legs on the top. I measured from the edges of the top to get the legs spaced evenly. Not all the legs were perfectly spaced because you are working with pipe. No big deal; I just got everything as close as possible. I then flipped over the table and installed the rail.
